Introduction
Your snacks are gone, but the wrappers live on — this time as something you’ll actually want on your dresser. Our Upcycled Makeup Bag turns chip packets, chocolate wrappers, and other poly plastics into a bright, practical pouch that keeps your everyday bits in one place.
Each bag is one of a kind. Because we work with whatever packaging comes our way, the colours, logos, and patterns shift from piece to piece — so the bag you carry is unlike anyone else’s.
Description
We build each makeup bag in three layers. First, a backing of sturdy polyester banner fabric for structure. Next, the star of the show: cleaned and fused poly plastics — chip packets, chocolate wrappers, and similar snack packaging that would otherwise head straight to landfill. Finally, a clear outer layer seals everything in and gives the bag a glossy, wipe-clean finish, just like our utility bags.
The result is light, tough, and ready for daily use. Toss in your cosmetics, brushes, toiletries, or odds and ends — the roomy interior handles it all while the durable build shrugs off spills and scuffs. Furthermore, every bag carries its own mix of recovered graphics, so no two ever look the same. We can also produce them in batches with coordinated colours or your chosen branding.
Climate Impact
Snack wrappers are notoriously hard to recycle, since they combine several materials in one thin film. As a result, most end up in landfill. By fusing these poly plastics into a lasting product, we keep them in use and out of the ground. Moreover, every bag reduces demand for new materials and shows how clever design can pull value from what we usually throw away.
Community Impact
Skilled local makers handcraft each bag by hand. Consequently, every purchase helps create employment, build practical production skills, and grow climate awareness within underprivileged communities across Johannesburg.
